Product Information

United Asphalts produces four types of built-up roofing asphalt: Types I, II, III, and IV. All four
types are made from high grade U.S. crude oil and meet or exceed ASTM D312 specifications. All
products are tested on a daily basis by our in-house lab and are available either in bulk form or
cartons. Each carton provides safety information - the flash point, proper EVT, and Type. Listed in the
following charts are the ASTM D312 specifications for Types I, II, III, and IV roofing asphalt, as well as
the ASTM requirements met for our ASTM D449 waterproofing asphalt.
